We're in public beta. The -beta suffix means this build sits beforethe 1.0.0 stable release — expect rapid changes while we polish. Once it's solid, we drop the suffix and ship v1.0.0.

BetaPublic beta

The first public build of Shoalmap. Everything below is live and working — but we are still in beta, so expect rough edges and fast iteration on the way to the 1.0 stable release.

New
  • Pin-drop water discovery, worldwide: tap the map, search a place or use your location and Shoalmap finds every named lake, river, canal and stretch of sea around you (data from OpenStreetMap).
  • AI catch odds (0–100%) for today, scored from live weather — temperature, pressure and its trend, wind, cloud cover, precipitation and time of day.
  • Per-water AI reports: fish species, best methods, baits, shore vs boat, typical depth and season — clearly labelled “Specific data for this water” or “General guidance”.
  • Today's fishing forecast with river levels (m³/s) and sea-wave data.
  • 14-day forecast with best-day picks (Pro+).
  • Solunar bite windows and best times, with the per-day moon phase shown right in the forecast.
  • Per-species regulations: closed seasons, minimum sizes and protected status (paid plans).
  • Saved favourite waters (“Omiljene”) that stay with you regardless of search radius (Pro).
  • Catch log with photo species-ID, plus fishing-style filters and per-style AI insights (Pro+).
  • Four languages across the whole app — English, Srpski, Deutsch, Magyar — AI reports included.
  • Metric or Imperial units (°C/°F, m/s·mph, hPa, kg/lb, cm/in) and a 24- or 12-hour clock.
  • Installable as an app (PWA) — opens full-screen on Android and iOS.
  • Plans and billing through Paddle (Angler free · Pro · Pro+), 14-day money-back, plus referral and promo codes.
Improved
  • The brand mark is now used consistently as the in-app logo everywhere.
  • Marketing navigation is session-aware — signed-in visitors get the right actions.
  • The Metric/Imperial preference is now honoured across every screen.
  • Transactional emails are fully localised (en/sr/de/hu).
  • Public water pages ship SEO metadata and structured data, with an auto-updating sitemap.
Fixed
  • Corrected an inverted moon phase in the lunar calendar.
  • Fixed gauge corruption and report “ghosting” on Mali-GPU Android devices.
  • Removed a GPU smear that could appear on map overlays in the favourites flow.
Security
  • Production WAF (Google Cloud Armor) in front of the app.
  • Billing webhooks made idempotent, with automatic cleanup of orphaned records.

Toward 1.0 (stable)

What we're working on before we drop the beta tag:

  • Native iOS and Android apps (the mobile groundwork has begun).
  • Wider, deeper regulation coverage across more countries.
  • Stability and accuracy hardening based on your beta feedback.
